Create, implement and support an overall safety promotion and training programme to ensure a coherent, integrated safety promotion, awareness and training approach within the Emirates Group. You will contribute to employee engagement by ensuring an accurate, timely and appropriate flow of safety promotion and training throughout all levels of the organisation, leading to a continuous improvement in the safety performance of the Emirates Group.

In this job you will:

  • Partner with Internal Communications / Corporate Communications and the relevant training departments to plan and deliver relevant, timely and engaging training and communication material for all employees. Liaise with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the timely delivery of all activities, materials and campaigns.
  • Develop and design concepts for safety promotion materials based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts. Work closely with the creative agencies and Internal Communication departments, to ensure that all communications are on brand and are appropriate in tone and appearance.
  • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to line departments to support safety promotion initiatives. Direct, motivate, and influence the mobilisation of the line departments to ensure delivery of the product, concept or campaign objectives within scope, time, cost and quality.
  • Survey and analyse safety promotion results, with the assistance of analytic tools, to determine the effectiveness of safety promotion activities. Provide guidance and support to line departments on the interpretation of survey data to ensure relevant corrective and follow up action is taken to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Act as a day to day point of contact for business units to provide guidance and support regarding safety promotion. Manage the business unit needs by understanding the business motives and direct the implementation of training and communication strategies in line with the annual budget and the safety promotion strategy of Group Safety.
  • Design and deliver safety training and communication material for all staff as appropriate using a range of methods as required, ensuring ease of access to communications, clarity and consistency of messages, including but not limited to:
    • Publications: Contribute to departmental newsletters, webpages and SharePoint sites to ensure consistency of the corporate safety messages. Write, review and edit a variety of safety promotion materials. Intranet: Liaise with IT and the groupworld team to continually develop the Group Safety webpage(s) as an effective internal communications tool, ensuring that the audience(s) needs are met
    • Briefing and training materials: Develop and manage a safety briefing/ training plan to ensure the consistent, relevant and timely delivery of safety information. Where relevant, measure the effectiveness of training and follow up as required.
    • Conference and seminars: Plan and coordinate Group Safety input into conferences and internal Group Safety-led briefings and seminars.
  • Explore the use of new technologies and methodologies, by where practicable attending seminars, training courses and conducting periodic research, to ensure the internal safety promotion activities are managed in the most impact
