About the Role
The Sales Engineer provides technical leadership throughout the pre-sales cycle for modular infrastructure solutions, with a focus on structural HACS (Hot Aisle Containment Systems) and the integration of electrical and telecom systems within data centre environments.
This role partners closely with the strategic account managers, consultants, and contractors to translate design requirements into practical, manufacturable, and modular solutions, ensuring compatibility between structural systems and MEP services.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Strategic account manager to qualify opportunities and define modular infrastructure solution strategies
Support customer engagement through technical presentations, design workshops, and site visits
Develop concept designs for HACS structures integrated with electrical and telecom systems
Review and interpret client specifications and data centre design standards
Coordinate integration of structural systems with electrical containment, cabling, and telecom infrastructure
Produce layout drawings and concepts using CAD tools
Work with consultants and contractors to ensure design coordination
Ensure compliance with data centre standards and modular deployment strategies
Assess manufacturability and installation constraints
Support estimation teams with technical inputs
Provide structured technical handover packages to internal engineering teams
Identify clashes between structural and MEP systems and propose solutions
Support development of standardised modular solutions
IMS Responsibilities

Maintain awareness of the requirements of, and their individual contribution to and impact on the effectiveness of, the Integrated Management System (IMS), including Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and Product Compliance objectives and requirements.
Report on unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, incidents, and injuries, quality issues, compliance concerns, violations to the appropriate personnel without delay.
Participate in required training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Education
Degree in MEP, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering
Experience
3-7 years in construction, data centres, or mission-critical projects
Experience in data centre environments (essential)
Experience with modular systems or containment structures
Exposure to MEP coordination in complex builds
Skills
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar)
Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Knowledge of electrical containment and telecom integration
Strong coordination and communication skills
Highly organised and detail-oriented
