Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer with strong expertise in Power BI and MicroStrategy to design, develop, and deliver Business Intelligence solutions that support business reporting and decision-making.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data modelling, reporting architecture, dashboard development, and Business Intelligence best practices. The successful candidate will be capable of translating business requirements into robust BI solutions while effectively engaging with stakeholders across business and technology functions.
This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence Development
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI and MicroStrategy.
- Develop interactive dashboards, reports, scorecards, and management information solutions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, user-friendly BI solutions.
- Develop and maintain semantic layers, datasets, dimensions, metrics, and reporting structures.
- Ensure BI solutions meet performance, usability, and governance standards.
Data Modelling & Reporting Architecture
- Design and maintain enterprise data models to support Business Intelligence and reporting requirements.
- Develop dimensional models, including star and snowflake schemas.
- Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across reporting platforms.
- Work closely with data engineering and technology teams to support data integration and reporting initiatives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting frameworks and BI standards.
Requirements Analysis & Solution Delivery
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand reporting and information requirements.
- Analyse business needs and recommend appropriate BI solutions.
- Convert complex requirements into practical and sustainable reporting solutions.
- Support user acceptance testing, deployment activities, and post-implementation support.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities and improve user experience.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Provide guidance and support to users in the adoption of Business Intelligence solutions.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within banking, financial services, or large-scale organizations

Strong hands-on experience with:

Strong understanding of:

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant Power BI or Business Intelligence certifications are advantageous.
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or large enterprise environments is preferred.
