Estimator- Pool projects

PTWL is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Estimator with strong experience in landscaping and swimming pool projects. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and competitive bid proposals for landscape and pool construction works, including structural, waterproofing, MEP, and finishing components. You will collaborate closely with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure precise pricing and successful tender submissions.

Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Cost Development

• Review drawings, specifications, and project scope for landscaping and swimming pool works.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for swimming pools, including excavation, concrete works, waterproofing, tiling, mosaics, coping, and finishing.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for pool systems including piping, pumps, filtration systems, and accessories.
• Estimate softscape, hardscape, irrigation, lighting, and site development works as required.
• Obtain, evaluate, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare competitive bid proposals, budgets, and tender pricing documents.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options without compromising quality.

Coordination & Communication

• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations when required.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and procurement teams.
• Clarify scope, exclusions, and technical queries with consultants and vendors.
• Support project handover with detailed cost breakdowns after project award.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain cost databases, supplier pricing records, and historical project cost data.
• Prepare bid summaries, cost comparisons, and risk assessments for management review.
• Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and tender requirements.

Qualifications & ExperienceEducation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).

Experience

• Minimum 4+ years of estimating experience in landscaping and swimming pool projects in the UAE.
• Strong hands-on experience in swimming pool construction estimation is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of pool systems including structural works, waterproofing, MEP, and finishing works.
• Experience in softscape and hardscape estimation is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to read and interpret construction and swimming pool design drawings.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and cost-control skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimating tools/software.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and tight deadlines effectively.
