Land Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Surveyor to support our landscaping and construction projects across the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting accurate land and construction surveys, setting out works, preparing survey documentation, and providing technical support throughout project execution. The role requires expertise in surveying equipment, AutoCAD, and UAE construction practices to ensure all works are completed accurately and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Surveying & Site Analysis

• Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys to determine site boundaries, elevations, and existing conditions.
• Perform construction staking, setting out, and layout works with a high level of accuracy.
• Assess site conditions, identify constraints, and provide technical recommendations to support project planning and execution.
• Verify survey control points and ensure measurement accuracy throughout all project stages.

Data Management & Documentation

• Prepare, interpret, and maintain survey drawings, maps, reports, and related technical documentation.
• Verify and validate survey data, calculations, and measurements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare survey records, legal descriptions, and documentation required for project approvals and records.
• Maintain organized survey files and update project documentation as required.

Coordination & Technical Support

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Landscape Architects, and site teams to ensure accurate project execution.
• Provide technical surveying support during construction and resolve site-related surveying issues.
• Attend project meetings and present survey findings, progress updates, and technical recommendations.
• Assist project teams with site measurements, quantity verification, and as-built surveys.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all surveying activities comply with UAE regulations, approved drawings, project specifications, and health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities for survey-related permits, approvals, and inspections when required.
• Maintain accuracy and quality standards throughout all surveying activities.

Equipment & Team Management

• Operate, maintain, and calibrate surveying instruments, including Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and other surveying tools.
• Supervise and guide survey assistants and field teams to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to project schedules.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of surveying equipment.

Project Support & Continuous Improvement

• Support project planning, scheduling, and construction activities by providing accurate survey data and technical insights.
• Stay updated on the latest surveying technologies, software, and industry best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance surveying processes and project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience as a Surveyor in landscaping, infrastructure, or construction projects.
• Proven experience in construction setting out, topographic surveys, and as-built surveys.
• Experience working on landscaping and infrastructure projects is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and surveying software.
• Hands-on experience with Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, levels, and modern surveying instruments.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project sites and work independently under tight deadlines.
