About the Role
The n8n Automation Engineer designs, builds, deploys, and supports production-grade workflow automations for HR lifecycle processes. The role focuses on n8n orchestration, enterprise API integration, business rule enforcement, approvals, exception handling, auditability, and secure integration of approved AI services within regulated HR environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable n8n workflows for HR processes (eligibility checks, approvals, SLAs, notifications, document handling, exceptions).
- Implement business rules aligned with approved HR policies and governance controls.
- Integrate workflows with Oracle EBS HRMS, REST/SOAP APIs, databases, and enterprise/government systems.
- Configure webhooks, scheduled and event-driven triggers, conditional logic, retries, fallbacks, and escalations.
- Ensure audit logging, execution traceability, structured error handling, and workflow resilience.
- Manage testing, versioning, deployments, and change control across environments.
- Integrate approved AI/LLM services into workflows and handle AI-driven exceptions.
- Collaborate with AI/ML, integration, Oracle HCM, architecture, and HR functional teams.
- Support production troubleshooting, optimization, performance tuning, and agile delivery activities.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with n8n (design, debugging, deployment).
- Enterprise workflow automation, REST/SOAP API integration, and secure credential handling.
- Webhooks, event-driven workflows, conditional logic, error handling, and retries.
- Business rule implementation, JSON, basic SQL, data mapping, and transformations.
- Workflow testing, release management, and audit/compliance requirements.
- Experience with HR, government, or regulated enterprise systems.
Preferred Skills
- Oracle EBS HRMS / Bayanati, UAE government systems.
- Familiarity with LLM/RAG concepts, Node.js/NestJS, PostgreSQL, Docker, self hosted n8n.
- Arabic/English workflow or chatbot implementations.
