Design Engineer

The company provides total turnkey project services, including system design, implementation, and commissioning. It specializes in retrofitting older machines with modern automation technologies and upgrading existing automation systems.

Role Description The Design Engineer role at GIGATECH CONTROL SOLUTIONS is a part-time Freelance basis.

The Design Engineer will develop automation and control system designs for industrial applications.

Job to Job tasks include preparing and reviewing design drawings, selecting components, creating system layouts, and coordinating with project engineers and technicians to ensure accurate implementation.

Qualifications

• Strong Design Engineering skills with experience in industrial automation or control systems using ACAD.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and modifying technical drawings and system layouts.
• Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles, control panels, wiring, and instrumentation relevant to PLC and SCADA systems.
• Experience in Product Design, focusing on functional, reliable, and maintainable engineering solutions for industrial environments.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and engineering documentation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multi-disciplinary teams on-site.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a safety-focused approach to engineering work.
• Previous experience with PLC, SCADA, or industrial automation projects in the Middle East is an advantage.
