Site Project Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Project Engineer to oversee and coordinate site execution activities from project mobilization through final handover. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in structural steel erection, PEB, industrial, commercial, and construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities: Project Execution

• Manage day-to-day site construction activities.
• Supervise structural steel erection and installation works.
• Coordinate site activities with subcontractors and internal teams.
• Ensure work is executed according to approved IFC drawings.
• Review shop drawings and technical documents before execution.
• Monitor project progress against the approved schedule.
• Ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Resolve technical issues encountered during site execution.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site activities.
• Ensure smooth material flow to site.

Site Coordination

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Attend project coordination meetings.
• Liaise with planning, QA/QC, procurement, and HSE departments.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.
• Ensure timely approval of work inspections.

Resource Management

• Plan manpower requirements.
• Monitor labor productivity.
• Coordinate equipment and lifting resources.
• Ensure material availability before work execution.
• Optimize manpower and equipment utilization.

Quality Control

• Ensure work complies with project specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate WIRs and inspections.
• Close NCRs and site observations promptly.
• Ensure proper installation procedures are followed.
• Monitor bolt tightening, alignment, leveling, and welding activities.
• Verify completed work before client inspections.

Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks with site teams.
• Ensure safe lifting operations.
• Monitor work permits and risk assessments.
• Enforce proper PPE usage and safe work practices.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Maintain site records and documentation.
• Prepare material requirement requests.
• Submit Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Prepare inspection requests.
• Track material deliveries and installation progress.
• Maintain site measurement records for billing.

Project Close-Out

• Prepare snag lists.
• Monitor rectification works.
• Coordinate final inspections.
• Assist with testing and commissioning.
• Support project handover documentation.
• Ensure successful project close-out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4–8 years of experience in construction/site execution.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Experience in structural steel, PEB, industrial, commercial, or EPC projects.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
