Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

1- QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• More than 10 years of experience in design of Pumping stations, Wastewater treatment plants, District Cooling Plants, infrastructure, etc.
• Experience with HVAC and Pumps design
• Experience in rehabilitation projects
• Experience working within engineering consultancies is mandatory
• Experience in projects in GCC, mainly in UAE and KSA
• Knowledge of relevant Saudi and UAE Standards
• HAP software experience
• Knowledge of hydraulic and surge analysis software’s is a plus

2- RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the mechanical design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
• Design pumping stations, lift stations, treatment plants, desalination support facilities, reservoirs, and associated mechanical infrastructure
• Prepare mechanical design criteria and basis of design reports
• Perform equipment sizing calculations and selection for: pumps, blowers, mixers, compressors, screens, grit removal equipment, clarifiers, sludge handling equipment, odor control systems, chemical dosing systems, UV disinfection systems, building HVAC
• Prepare equipment layouts and plant arrangements
• Design piping systems, valve arrangements and mechanical utilities
• Prepare equipment and valve schedules
• Prepare Building HVAC layouts
• Prepare BOQs
• Prepare specifications for Mechanical equipment
• Prepare Datasheets for Mechanical equipment
• Coordinate with end clients and suppliers
• Perform Value Engineering studies
• Provide support in proposals/tenders
