Agricultural Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Agricultural Engineer to join our team and lead the planning, development, and management of sustainable and organic farming operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in agricultural engineering, irrigation systems, soil management, organic farming practices, and project management. The role requires hands-on field experience, technical knowledge, and a passion for improving agricultural productivity while maintaining environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop farm layouts, irrigation systems, drainage systems, greenhouses, and agricultural infrastructure.
• Develop and implement organic farming strategies and sustainable agricultural practices.
• Conduct soil testing, nutrient analysis, and recommend organic soil improvement programs.
• Monitor crop health and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) using environmentally friendly methods.
• Improve farm productivity through innovative farming techniques and technologies.
• Plan, supervise, and manage agricultural engineering projects from start to completion.
• Provide technical support and recommendations on agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, and farm operations.
• Monitor livestock health and welfare where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural, environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Manage and maintain ESMA Conformity Certification and other organic farming certifications.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare technical reports, and analyze agricultural data.
• Conduct field inspections and troubleshoot agricultural equipment and infrastructure.
• Train farm staff on machinery operation, organic farming techniques, and best agricultural practices.
• Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum 3**+ years of experience** in agricultural engineering, preferably in organic farming.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, soil science, crop production, and sustainable farming practices.
• Experience in Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
• Familiarity with ESMA certification and UAE agricultural regulations is an advantage.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and perform field-based responsibilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and agricultural management software.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with greenhouse farming and controlled environment agriculture.
• Knowledge of water conservation and environmental management systems.
• Experience managing agricultural infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
