Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced MEP Project Engineer to manage and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for interior fit-out projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, coordinating, and successful delivery of MEP works while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and supervise all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities from project initiation to completion.
• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents to ensure accurate execution.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Architects, Consultants, Clients, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare project schedules, work programs, and manpower planning to achieve project milestones.
• Monitor site progress and ensure MEP works are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Coordinate procurement of MEP materials and equipment to ensure timely site delivery.
• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues related to HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, project specifications, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Attend project coordination meetings and provide technical support to site teams.
• Prepare progress reports, cost reports, variation orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover of completed MEP systems.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and consultants to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in Interior Fit-Out and MEP project execution.
• Proven experience managing MEP works for commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, and office fit-out projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and Building Services.
• Excellent understanding of UAE construction practices, local authority regulations, and building codes.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and project specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software (MS Project/Primavera is an advantage).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• A valid UAE Driving License is preferred.
