Civil Chargehand

• Team Supervision: Directs and assigns daily tasks to construction crews, including masons, steel fixers, carpenters, and general laborers. [1]
• Drawing & Blueprint Execution: Reads and interprets construction drawings and ensures that concrete pouring, masonry, and rebar fixing are executed according to approved project specifications. [1, 2]
• Material & Equipment Management: Coordinates with storekeepers and project engineers to request, secure, and distribute the necessary materials, machinery, and tools for the day's work. [1, 2]
• Quality Control & Progress Tracking: Conducts continuous and final inspections of completed work to ensure it aligns with strict quality standards, while reporting daily progress to the site engineer. [1, 2]
• Safety Compliance: Conducts pre-work safety briefings, enforces permit-to-work systems, ensures workers wear appropriate PPE, and mitigates hazards on the job site. [1, 2]
• Problem Resolution: Identifies technical deviations, worker shortages, or unexpected site issues, resolving them quickly to prevent project delays. [1]
