We are currently looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented 2D Draft Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, production drawings, and construction documentation for exhibitions, interior fit-out, joinery, and custom fabrication projects.

Job Purpose

Responsible for producing detailed 2D technical drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and construction documentation that support the successful execution of exhibitions, interior fit-out, joinery, and custom-built projects.

Work closely with Designers, Estimation, Project Managers, Production, Procurement, and Site Teams to ensure all drawings are technically accurate, production-ready, and compliant with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D shop drawings, technical drawings, and production drawings using AutoCAD.
• Convert approved design concepts into accurate fabrication and construction drawings.
• Develop joinery, metal, acrylic, glass, signage, and exhibition production drawings.
• Prepare detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, layouts, and construction details.
• Coordinate with Designers to ensure design intent is accurately translated into technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Production and Project Teams to ensure drawings are practical and fabrication-ready.
• Prepare authority submission drawings and venue documentation when required.
• Review project specifications, dimensions, BOQs, and technical requirements.
• Conduct site measurements and update drawings based on site conditions when required.
• Revise drawings according to client comments, consultant feedback, and project changes.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, company standards, and venue regulations.
• Support Estimation and Procurement teams by providing technical details and material references.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions, document control, and project records.
• Assist Project Managers during fabrication, installation, and project execution.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors regarding technical and fabrication details.
• Deliver all drawings within agreed project timelines and milestones.
• Support continuous improvement of drafting standards and documentation processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–6 years of experience as a 2D Draft Engineer or AutoCAD Draftsman.
• Strong UAE experience in exhibitions, interior fit-out, joinery, or construction industries is highly preferred.
• Experience preparing production drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and fabrication processes.
• Experience preparing DWTC, ADNEC, or other venue submission drawings is an advantage.
