G.I.T. LLC is a leading UAE-based construction company specializing in swimming pools, water features, waterproofing, landscaping, flooring, and related construction solutions. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage inventory and ensure the efficient handling of materials required for our projects.
Job Summary
The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of construction materials, tools, equipment, and spare parts. The ideal candidate should have experience in the construction industry and possess strong inventory management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, ensuring they match purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse for easy identification and safe storage of materials.
- Issue materials, tools, and equipment to project sites while maintaining proper documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Procurement department for timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with monthly and annual inventory audits.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP software or Microsoft Excel.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Track material movements between the warehouse and project sites.
- Prepare inventory, stock movement, and consumption reports.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety standards within the warehouse.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, and Site Engineers regarding material requirements and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of Storekeeper experience in the construction industry.
- Experience handling construction materials, MEP items, pool equipment, waterproofing materials, or related products is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP inventory systems.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
