Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Assistant to support the Sales Manager in driving market development and client management for our rail transit business across the GCC and Southeast Asian markets. Based permanently in Dubai, this role provides essential commercial, administrative, and coordination support across the full sales cycle — from market research and bid preparation to client communication, reporting, and travel logistics. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Sales Manager with market research, client development, and client relationship maintenance activities across the rail transit sector in GCC countries and Southeast Asia, contributing to overall team sales targets.
- Organize, translate, file, and maintain standardized records for sales-related documents, tender materials, contracts, client files, and project documentation.
- Manage day-to-day client communication, relay client requirements internally, coordinate the appropriate internal response, and maintain clear records of follow-up actions to closure.
- Provide support across the overseas project bidding process, including tender document preparation, materials compilation, and submission.
- Maintain sales data, prepare regular reports and sales tracking records, and share consolidated updates with the Sales Manager and senior management.
- Coordinate logistics for business meetings, industry exhibitions, client visits, and business travel, including itinerary planning and on-the-ground support.
- Support the Sales Manager with contract execution tracking, payment collection follow-up, and ongoing project progress monitoring.
- Participate in onboarding and periodic business training at the company's China headquarters as required.
- Carry out other sales support and administrative duties as assigned by senior management.
Required Experience
2–3 years of relevant experience in sales support, business assistance, or project coordination within the rail transit industry. Experience working in the GCC and/or Southeast Asian markets is preferred.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Strong capability in business document preparation, tender production, data tracking, and report writing.
- Familiarity with overseas sales processes, basic bidding procedures, and business document management standards.
- Excellent written and spoken translation/interpretation skills between Chinese and English, suitable for business settings.
- Strong sense of accountability, attention to detail, and reliable, organized execution of tasks.
- Good cross-cultural communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills under time pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems or similar business software tools.
Industry Background
Core background in the rail transit industry is preferred. Candidates with experience supporting overseas infrastructure or large engineering project sales teams are preferred. Experience or familiarity with rail transit rolling stock manufacturers (such as CRRC, Alstom, Hitachi, Siemens, or Hyundai Rotem) or international engineering consultancy firms (such as Systra, Atkins, or AECOM) is an advantage.
Education
Bachelor's degree or above, ideally in Marketing, International Trade, Business English, or a Rail Transit-related field.
Language Requirements
Fluent English (spoken and written) is required for daily business use. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is an advantage.
Travel & Mobility
Permanently based in Dubai, UAE, with business travel across GCC countries and Southeast Asia expected at a frequency of approximately 20%–30% per month.
