QA/QC Engineer

Job Title: QA/QC Engineer – Bolts, Nuts & Fasteners

Job Summary

BBI Group of Companies is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer – Bolts, Nuts & Fasteners to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities related to the inspection, testing, and compliance of industrial fasteners. The successful candidate will ensure that all products meet applicable international standards, client specifications, and company quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of bolts, nuts, washers, and fastening systems.
• Verify material test certificates (MTCs), heat treatment records, coating reports, and dimensional compliance.
• Conduct dimensional, visual, mechanical, and coating inspections in accordance with approved standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ASTM, ASME, ISO, DIN, BS, and client specifications.
• Review inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and inspection documentation.
• Prepare QA/QC reports, inspection records, material traceability documents, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Coordinate with production, procurement, suppliers, and clients to resolve quality-related issues.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely closure of quality deviations.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain quality management system documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and company quality policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in bolts, nuts, fasteners, or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of fastener manufacturing processes, mechanical properties, coatings, and inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with international standards including ASTM, ASME, ISO, DIN, BS, and API.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, ring gauges, and plug gauges.
• Proficiency in reviewing material certificates, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills.

Preferred Certifications

• CSWIP or equivalent Quality/Welding Inspection Certification
• ASNT NDT Level II (preferred)
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification
• Knowledge of quality management systems and manufacturing best practices
