Senior Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's complete accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting management with financial analysis and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial performance.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with UAE labor laws.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Monitor project costs, revenue recognition, and profitability where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, government authorities, and external consultants when required.
• Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Improve accounting procedures and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and IFRS.
• Experience with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English & Arabic
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in the construction, manufacturing, or glass industry is highly preferred.
• Experience handling complete company accounts from start to finish.
• Experience with project accounting and cost control.
