Architectural Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsman with experience in the fit-out industry to prepare accurate architectural drawings, shop drawings, and detailed construction documents for commercial, residential, hospitality, and retail fit-out projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of interior fit-out detailing, coordination with various disciplines, and proficiency in CAD software.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural shop drawings, detailed drawings, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out projects.
• Develop layout plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), flooring layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed joinery drawings.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with MEP, structural, and site teams to ensure clash-free execution.
• Review consultant drawings, tender documents, and project specifications.
• Prepare drawings in accordance with local authority regulations and project standards.
• Modify and revise drawings based on client, consultant, or site requirements.
• Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and ensure drawing accuracy.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and material layouts when required.
• Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of drawings.
• Assist in resolving technical issues during project execution.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company quality standards and project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience as an Architectural Draftsman in the interior fit-out industry.
• Experience with commercial, residential, retail, and hospitality fit-out projects is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
• Experience with SketchUp, 3ds Max, or other 3D software is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of interior fit-out detailing and construction methods.
• Knowledge of architectural standards, materials, and finishes.
• Familiarity with MEP coordination and shop drawing preparation.
• Ability to prepare BOQs and quantity take-offs is an advantage.
