Supermarket Supervisor cum Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Supermarket Supervisor cum Manager with at least 5 years of experience in retail supermarket operations. The successful candidate will oversee daily store activities, supervise staff, ensure excellent customer service, maintain inventory accuracy, and drive sales performance while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations

• Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the supermarket.
• Ensure smooth functioning of all departments, including grocery, fresh food, cashiering, and stock management.
• Monitor store cleanliness, merchandising, and product displays according to company standards.
• Implement operational procedures and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Team Management

• Supervise, train, and motivate store employees to achieve performance targets.
• Prepare staff schedules and allocate duties effectively.
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide coaching when necessary.
• Resolve staff issues and maintain a positive working environment.

Inventory & Stock Control

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely stock replenishment.
• Conduct regular stock audits and inventory checks.
• Minimize stock loss, shrinkage, and wastage through effective control measures.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for stock procurement and deliveries.

Sales & Customer Service

• Ensure high standards of customer service and customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
• Promote special offers, seasonal products, and marketing campaigns.

Financial Management

• Monitor cash handling procedures and daily cash reconciliation.
• Assist in preparing sales reports, inventory reports, and operational summaries.
• Control operational expenses and optimize store profitability.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and local regulations.
• Maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential risks.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in supermarket, hypermarket, or retail store operations, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and retail operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage teams and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
