Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HSE Engineer to oversee safety compliance and environmental standards for our upcoming mid and high-rise construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring "zero-incident" delivery, maintaining strict adherence to local safety regulations and international building codes, and developing comprehensive risk management systems that foster a culture of operational safety among site teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with UAE HSE laws, regulations, and company safety policies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement and monitor the HSE Management System, integrating safety protocols into daily site operations.
• Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and internal audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns focused on midrise-specific risks such as working at height, scaffolding, and vertical access.
• Oversee Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Method Statement compliance for high-risk activities.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, maintain accurate records, and ensure lessons learned are communicated effectively.
• Develop and test emergency response and evacuation plans tailored to multi-level structures.
• Provide HSE guidance and support to supervisors, subcontractors, and workers, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities.
• Promote good housekeeping practices, enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensure site cleanliness.
• Manage environmental protection initiatives including waste segregation, pollution control, and sustainability programs.
• Prepare HSE performance reports, track safety KPIs, and present findings to management for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent.
• 6 years of Construction HSE experience with a main contractor.
• Mandatory site experience in mid and high-rise building projects.
• Strong hazard identification, risk assessment (RAMS), and site safety enforcement skills.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
