Senior Resident Engineer – Luxury Villa Compounds

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Resident Engineer to lead the supervision of luxury villa compound projects in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and local authority regulations.

The role requires strong leadership skills, extensive experience in high-end residential developments, and the ability to effectively coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site supervision team, including Resident Engineers, Civil Inspectors, MEP Inspectors, and support staff.
• Oversee the construction of luxury villas, infrastructure, roads, utilities, and landscape works within villa compounds.
• Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and local authority regulations.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, delays, and construction issues.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review contractor payment applications, variation orders, and progress reports.
• Chair progress meetings and prepare project status reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Oversee project close-out activities, including snagging, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Requirements

✔ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
✔ Minimum 15 years of experience in construction supervision and project management.
✔ Minimum 7 years of experience as a Resident Engineer or Senior Resident Engineer.
✔ Proven experience supervising luxury villa compounds, residential communities, and high-end villa developments in the UAE.
✔ Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and authority requirements.
✔ Experience working with engineering consultancy firms.
✔ Strong understanding of contract administration and construction management.
✔ Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
✔ UAE Driving License preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale villa communities and infrastructure works.
• Familiarity with municipality approval processes and local authority requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple project stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
