About Pylot

Pylot is building an AI workforce for mid-market freight forwarders in the GCC. Freight forwarding companies manage complex operational processes across shipments, customs, documentation, customer communication, carrier coordination, and exception handling. Many of these workflows are still highly manual, repetitive, and dependent on human operators.

Our mission is to augment freight forwarding teams with AI agents and intelligent automation that can handle operational tasks, streamline workflows, and help teams operate more efficiently at scale.

We're looking for a Founding Engineer (Applied AI) to work directly with the CTO in building the first version of the platform, shaping technical architecture, and helping define the engineering culture from day one.

Requirements

Mandatory

• 3-7 years building production software
• Strong experience with TypeScript and Python (Fullstack capable)
• Hands-on experience with:
• RAG systems
• LLM integrations
• AI agents
• Workflow automation
• Vector databases and embeddings
• Prompt engineering and tool calling
• Ability to design and implement end-to-end systems independently

Nice to Have

• Prior startup or founding-team experience
• Arabic familiarity
• Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, MCP, or similar frameworks
• Experience building agentic workflows and multi-agent systems
• Experience working at early-stage startups
• Logistics, freight, or supply chain experience
• Experience integrating with SAP systems and enterprise ERPs
• Experience building integrations with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
• Experience with WhatsApp Business Platform integrations and messaging workflows
