Job Title: Draftsman Department: Design & Production

Reports To: Design Manager / Project Engineer

Job Purpose:

To prepare detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and production plans for wooden products, joinery works, and fit-outs in accordance with client specifications and project requirements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare clear, detailed, and accurate CAD drawings for wooden products, joinery, and fit-out works based on design concepts and project requirements.
• Interpret architectural and design drawings to create shop drawings for production and installation.
• Coordinate with project engineers, production teams, and site supervisors to ensure drawing accuracy and feasibility.
• Revise drawings as required based on design changes or site conditions.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, specifications, and relevant codes.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of drawings and revisions for easy retrieval.
• Assist in quantity take-offs and material specifications if needed.
• Support the design and production team in developing new wooden product concepts and technical solutions.
• Visit project sites for measurements, verification, and drawing finalisation as needed.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Design Manager.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Drafting Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a draftsman in wooden products, joinery, or fit-out industry.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting software; knowledge in 3D modelling software is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of materials, production processes, and joinery details.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based with occasional site visits for measurements and verification.
• Working hours as per company policy; overtime as required to meet project deadlines.

• Draftsman: 2 years (Required)
