Job Title: Civil Engineer

Location: Dubai, UAE

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Civil Engineer for our Group.

Qualifications:

- Civil Engineer or Construction Engineering

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Minimum of 5 years plus previous experience in construction and building consultancy in UAE is required.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution & Supervision: Monitor daily civil works to ensure they align with approved drawings, structural specifications,
• Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC): Conduct site inspections to verify the standard of workmanship and materials used, ensuring they meet building codes and industry standards. [1]
• Site Surveying & Layout: Undertake leveling and surveying duties, and assist in "setting out" the site so that construction aligns precisely with engineering plans.
• Technical Oversight: Review shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals, providing on-the-spot troubleshooting and technical advice to resolve emerging deficiencies.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise between architects, project managers, contractors, and local authority employees.
• Safety & Compliance: Monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance, ensuring OSHA or equivalent regional safety guidelines are strictly upheld.
• Reporting: Prepare and compile daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, tracking budgets and identifying schedule deviations.

Essential Requirements & Skills

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong capability in reading and interpreting structural/architectural blueprints and schematics. Knowledge of surveying tools and software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or structural analysis programs is often required.
• Regional Compliance: In areas like the UAE, candidates often need local accreditations like Dubai Municipality (DM) approval or UAE Society of Engineers (SOE) membership.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities to manage crews and negotiate with vendors.
