Procurement Assistant

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to join our dynamic construction team in Dubai. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the procurement process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services essential for our construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing construction materials, equipment, and services in accordance with company policies and project requirements.

• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of materials.

• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and procurement documentation.

• Support the Procurement Manager in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining good vendor relationships.

• Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock control to prevent project delays.

• Collaborate with the project team to understand procurement needs and timelines.

• Ensure compliance with legal and company standards regarding procurement processes. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

• Prior experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry, is an advantage.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

• Knowledge of procurement best practices and local market conditions in Dubai is desirable.
