What you'll be doing
The purpose of this role is to support the protection of Chalhoub Group’s assets, inventory, people and liabilities through efficient administration of Group insurance arrangements and timely coordination with internal stakeholders, brokers and insurers.
The role helps ensure that coverage remains fit for purpose, cost-conscious, well documented and aligned with multi-country operating requirements. The job holder will support renewals, policy issuance, certificates of insurance, claims follow-up, exposure data collection and contract-review activities, while helping identify uninsured gaps and escalation points across Group operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support annual placement, renewal and endorsement processing for Group insurance policies across retail, warehouse, logistics, office, digital and corporate activities.
- Prepare and validate underwriting submissions, exposure schedules, declarations, statements of values, claims histories and renewal packs for brokers and insurers.
- Maintain a central insurance register covering policies, insurers, brokers, limits, deductibles, premiums, territories, endorsements, certificates and renewal dates.
- Coordinate issuance, renewal and filing of certificates of insurance and ensure that landlord, mall, vendor, logistics partner and other third-party requirements are tracked and met.
- Support the review of insurance clauses in leases, supplier agreements, logistics contracts, marketing or event agreements, fit-out or project documentation and other commercial contracts; escalate non-standard or high-risk requirements.
- Continually monitor core insurance lines such as property damage and business interruption, stock or inventory and transit, marine cargo, public or product liability, employer’s liability or workers’ compensation, cyber, crime or fidelity, D&O support and project-specific covers where applicable.
- Coordinate, oversee & monitor claims from first notification to closure, including document collection, broker and adjuster follow-up, reserve tracking, recovery actions and settlement reporting.
- Liaise with Finance & Treasury on premiums, allocations, accruals and claims recoveries; support periodic reporting on p
