The Role

Travelling Butler | Dubai Based | Extensive European Travel | AED 15,000 – 21,000 DOE

We are seeking an experienced, polished and highly adaptable Travelling Butler to join a busy, fully staffed UHNW household based in Dubai.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced role suited to a career private household professional who thrives within a professional family environment. The household operates to exceptionally high standards, requiring someone discreet, proactive, service-led and confident anticipating needs before they arise.

This position involves regular international travel (approximately 60–90 days per year, primarily within Europe); therefore the candidates must hold a UK or EU passport to facilitate efficient visa and international travel arrangements.

This is a live-out role when in Dubai residence, therefore applicants must already be based in Dubai with their own accommodation.

The Role:

Working closely alongside an existing Butler and wider household team, you will provide seamless day-to-day support to the family across service, household operations and travel.

Service within the home is family-style rather than formal silver service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering exceptional day-to-day food and beverage service for meals, drinks, snacks and light refreshments across the residence, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Preparing beverages including coffees, fresh juices, cocktails and hot/cold drinks.
  • Working closely with the Chef to plan, prepare and suggest food and beverage offerings throughout the day based on the family’s preferences, schedule and guests.
  • Managing table settings, mise en place and service preparation for daily family life and occasional events.
  • Maintaining impeccable standards across service areas, dining spaces, family kitchen and back-of-house areas.
  • Ensuring all tableware, service equipment, linens and beverage stock are maintained, cleaned, inventoried and fully replenished.
  • Supporting light food preparation including breakfasts and simple meals when required.
  • Training and supporting housekeeping staff with service standards and mise en place when needed.
  • Anticipating the family’s daily requirements, adjusting service according to schedules, weather, travel plans, guests and events.
  • Assisting with general household support including organisation, tidying, gentleman’s wardrobe support and travel preparation.
  • Greeting family members and guests, ensuring personal belongings and spaces are maintained to impeccable standards.
  • Receiving, organising and logging deliveries, packages and household items.
  • Liaising closely with the House Manager, PA, Driver, Chef and wider household team to ensure seamless household operations.
  • Coordinating external service providers and ensuring readiness, timing and setup requirements are met.
  • Working collaboratively across all areas of household service to support daily operations where required.

Travel Responsibilities:

  • Travelling with the family for holidays and business trips, providing seamless operational and personal support throughout.
  • Managing packing, unpacking and day-to-day household services whilst travelling.
  • Preparing travel luggage, hand luggage, personal effects, travel documents and organisational systems for each stage of travel.
  • Advancing to prepare hotels, suites, villas and temporary residences, ensuring full operational setup including wardrobe arrangements, IT/AV, F&B, personal items and household functionality.
  • Liaising with hotels, rental agencies, stylists and external providers to maintain household standards whilst abroad.
  • Providing hands-on support during travel including shopping, organisation, light cleaning, constant tidying and preparation for daily activities, outings and excursions.
  • Supporting laundry, ironing and garment care when required, including coordination for event attire, sportswear and specialist items.
