Document Controller

The Role

• Manage and maintain all project-related documents, drawings, technical submissions, and correspondence.
• Ensure proper document control procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing documents, RFIs, shop drawings, material submittals, and approvals.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding document flow and submissions.
• Prepare and update document registers, trackers, logs, and filing systems.
• Ensure all project documents are properly archived and easily accessible.
• Distribute approved drawings and documents to relevant departments and site teams.
• Monitor submission deadlines and follow up on pending approvals and documentation.
• Support project teams in maintaining compliance with company standards and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or relevant qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Document Controller within Interior Fit-Out projects in the UAE.
• Strong experience handling fit-out project documentation and coordination.
• Familiarity with shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and document management systems.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Experience working with Interior Fit-Out contractors in Dubai/UAE is highly preferred.
