PEB Site Foreman

Job Summary

The PEB Site Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) erection and installation activities at project sites. The role involves managing erection crews, coordinating lifting operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements, and delivering project milestones within schedule.

Key ResponsibilitiesPEB Erection & Installation

• Supervise the erection and installation of PEB structures, including main frames, columns, rafters, purlins, girts, bracing systems, canopies, mezzanines, platforms, staircases, and miscellaneous steel works.
• Ensure all erection activities are carried out according to approved shop drawings, erection drawings, and method statements.
• Monitor structural alignment, leveling, plumbing, and final fixing of steel members.
• Coordinate roof sheeting, wall cladding, flashing, trim works, gutters, downpipes, skylights, and insulation installation.
• Ensure proper bolt tightening, torqueing, and connection installation.

Site Supervision

• Lead and supervise steel erectors, riggers, welders, fabricators, and helpers.
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor workforce productivity.
• Ensure site activities are completed as per project schedules and daily targets.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and other site disciplines for smooth project execution.

Material & Equipment Management

• Verify material deliveries and ensure availability before commencing work.
• Monitor proper storage and handling of PEB components.
• Coordinate cranes, lifting equipment, manlifts, and other machinery required for erection activities.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and used safely.

Lifting & Erection Coordination

• Coordinate lifting operations with crane operators, riggers, and lifting supervisors.
• Ensure lifting activities are carried out as per approved lifting plans and safety requirements.
• Monitor erection sequences to maintain structural stability during installation.

Quality Control

• Ensure all PEB works comply with project specifications and approved drawings.
• Coordinate inspections with QA/QC Engineers and client representatives.
• Assist in resolving punch list items and NCRs.
• Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to approved tolerances.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Ensure all workers use appropriate PPE.
• Enforce work-at-height, lifting, and hot work safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company, client, and local authority safety regulations.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare daily progress and manpower reports.
• Report delays, material shortages, equipment issues, and technical concerns.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
• Participate in site meetings and progress reviews.

RequirementsEducation

• Diploma, Technical Certificate, or Trade Qualification in Construction, Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in PEB erection and structural steel projects.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Foreman in PEB projects.
• GCC experience preferred.
• Experience in warehouses, factories, industrial buildings, commercial facilities, aircraft hangars, and steel structure projects.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret PEB shop drawings and erection drawings.
• Strong knowledge of PEB erection methodologies and sequencing.
• Knowledge of roof sheeting, wall cladding, flashing, insulation, and skylight installation.
• Familiarity with crane operations, rigging, and lifting activities.
• Knowledge of bolt tightening, alignment, and steel connections.
• Strong leadership and workforce management skills.
