Primo is a luxury villa renovation and fit-out company based in Dubai, specialising in high-end residential renovations, extensions, remodelling, and bespoke interior transformations.
We work direct with clients, consultants, designers, and property investors to deliver exceptional renovation projects across Dubai. Our projects range from complete villa renovations to luxury upgrades and bespoke construction works.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, improve systems and accountability, and ensure projects and internal operations run efficiently and profitably.
The Role
This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the company owners.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the business, coordinating between office and site teams, implementing operational systems, improving efficiency, and ensuring projects are delivered successfully.
This is not a sales role and not a project management role.
We are looking for a business operator who can take ownership of the company's day-to-day activities and drive operational excellence across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
Business Operations
- Manage the daily operations of the company
- Ensure all departments are working efficiently and collaboratively
- Implement and improve operational systems, processes, and procedures
- Drive accountability throughout the organisation
- Lead weekly management meetings and operational reviews
- Monitor company KPIs and performance metrics
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements
Project Oversight
- Coordinate between office staff, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Monitor project progress and ensure reporting systems are maintained
- Review project schedules and resource allocation
- Escalate risks and issues before they impact project delivery
- Ensure projects are operating within approved budgets and timelines
- Support the construction team in improving project execution processes
Financial Oversight
- Monitor project profitability and company performance
- Review cash flow forecasts and operational budgets
- Ensure invoices, payments, procurement, and financial controls are properly managed
- Work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate reporting
- Support cost control initiatives across all projects
Team Leadership
- Manage and support office and operational staff
- Conduct performance reviews and staff development meetings
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding
- Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement
- Ensure communication flows effectively between all departments
Reporting
- Produce weekly and monthly management reports
- Provide clear visibility of company performance, project status, risks, and opportunities
- Present recommendations to the company owners
- Maintain dashboards and reporting systems
Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a senior management, operations, or general management role
- Experience within construction, fit-out, renovation, contracting, or property-related industries
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Proven experience managing multiple departments and teams
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding
- Experience implementing systems, processes, and operational improvements
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
Highly Desirable
- Experience in luxury residential construction or villa renovations in Dubai
- Understanding of UAE construction processes and regulations
- Experience managing project reporting and operational KPIs
- Knowledge of procurement, subcontractor management, and project controls
- Degree in Construction Management, Enginee
