Job Purpose

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for end-to-end inventory control across company-owned warehouses and third-party logistics (3PL) partners operating in the GCC region. The role ensures inventory accuracy, stock integrity, expiry control, loss prevention, and system reconciliation in a fast-moving FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Control & Accuracy

  • Ensure 100% alignment between system stock and physical stock across all warehouses and 3PL locations.
  • Review and validate daily inventory movement reports (GRN, dispatch, returns, adjustments).
  • Investigate and resolve stock variances, shortages, and excesses with root-cause analysis.
  • Implement bin/location controls and SKU-wise tracking.
  • Should have proven experience of handling multi location multi country inventory operations .

Warehouse & 3PL Management

  • Coordinate closely with 3PL partners to enforce company inventory SOPs.
  • Review 3PL reports, storage conditions, handling practices, and documentation.
  • Conduct regular physical audits and surprise stock counts at own and 3PL warehouses.
  • Ensure SLAs with 3PLs are complied with (accuracy, timelines, damages, reporting).

Expiry, Damage & Loss Control

  • Monitor near-expiry and slow-moving inventory and coordinate clearance plans with Sales & Operations.
  • Ensure expired, damaged, and non-saleable stock is identified, segregated, approved, and disposed as per SOP.
  • Track and control inventory write-offs with proper approvals and documentation.

Stock Count & Audit

  • Plan and execute cycle counts, monthly, quarterly, and annual stock counts.
  • Lead stock counts jointly with Finance, Internal Audit, and Operations teams.
  • Prepare variance reports and corrective action plans post stock count.

System & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate posting of all inventory transactions in ERP (GRN, transfers, adjustments).
  • Prepare daily / weekly / monthly inventory reports for management.
  • Support internal and external audits with complete inventory documentation.

Process & Compliance

  • Implement and continuously improve inventory SOPs and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and local regulations.
  • Train warehouse and operations teams on inventory discipline and best practices.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of FMCG inventory flows
  • Hands-on experience managing own warehouse + 3PL
  • Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills
  • High attention to detail and control mindset
  • Ability to handle multi-location & multi-country operations
  • Strong coordination with Operations, Sales, Finance, and 3PLs

System Requirements

  • Experience working on ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Dynamics / FACTS or similar)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel & inventory reports

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field
  • 6–10 years of inventory management experience in FMCG
  • Mandatory experience in GCC countries
  • Proven experience handling high SKU volumes and expiry-driven products
  • Mandatory proven experience of handling multi location multi country inventory operations .

Preferred Profile

  • FMCG distribution background (food, beverages, personal care, consumer goods)
  • Experience supporting audit & compliance-driven environments
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-moving operations
