Interior Architect / Technical Designer

Maklad Design is seeking an experienced Interior Architect / Technical Designer with UAE fit-out experience to join our team. We are looking for a creative and technically skilled professional who can develop design concepts, produce detailed technical drawings, coordinate with consultants and site teams, and support material selection and procurement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, space planning, and interior layouts based on project requirements.
• Prepare detailed drawings including plans, elevations, sections, joinery details, and shop drawings.
• Produce presentations, and design documentation for client approval.
• Review IFC drawings and ensure accurate incorporation of revisions and consultant comments.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and site teams to ensure practical and buildable solutions.
• Prepare drawings and documentation for authority submissions, including DDA, DM, DEWA, Civil Defense, and other relevant authorities.
• Prepare RFQs and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for material procurement and project requirements.
• Assist in FF&E selection, specifications, material schedules, and documentation.
• Conduct site visits, review site conditions, and update drawings based on RFIs and project requirements.
• Ensure drawing accuracy, coordination, compliance with project specifications, and timely submissions.
• Support project execution by resolving technical issues and coordinating design changes during construction.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in interior fit-out projects.
• Strong experience in shop drawings, technical detailing, and joinery drawings.
• Experience in preparing RFQs, material specifications, and FF&E packages.
• Familiarity with UAE authority submission requirements and approval processes.
• Strong understanding of fit-out construction methods, materials, and technical specifications.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Working knowledge of SketchUp, 3D visualization software, or other design tools is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
