Senior MEP Engineer:-

Responsible for leading and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. Ensures that all MEP systems are designed, reviewed, installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, quality standards, and client expectations. Provides technical leadership, coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, and supports successful project delivery from design through construction and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage MEP engineering activities across multiple projects.
  • Review and approve MEP designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, local authority regulations, international codes, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate MEP design interfaces with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical proposals.
  • Monitor MEP design and construction progress to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, consultants, and contractors.
  • Resolve complex MEP design, coordination, and construction-related issues.
  • Conduct design reviews, value engineering studies, and constructability assessments.
  • Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Review and evaluate MEP change requests, variations, and engineering modifications.
  • Perform site inspections and audits to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Monitor installation works and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, and system performance verification activities.
  • Review commissioning procedures, test reports, and handover documentation.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management activities by providing technical inputs.
  • Identify technical risks and implement mitigation measures to minimize project impacts.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical queries, requests for information (RFIs), and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and progress updates for management and clients.
  • Support project closeout activities, including snagging, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of engineering best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Professional engineering certification or membership is preferred.

Experience

  • 10–15+ years of experience in MEP design, construction, supervision, or project management.
  • Experience in large-scale building, commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Previous experience within a PMC, consultancy, or contractor environment is preferred.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, and building services systems.
  • Expertise in MEP design review, coordination, testing, and commissioning.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and relevant design tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
