We're looking for an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer who wants more than just operational support work. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a modern Microsoft Azure environment, contribute to the development of advanced data and AI platforms, and support the high-performance computing environments that enable some of the world's most complex engineering projects.

You'll work across cloud infrastructure, identity, automation, security, data platforms, AI workloads, and HPC environments, helping shape scalable and resilient platforms that support teams across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.

This role offers exposure to Azure cloud technologies, Databricks, AI infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, automation, Zero Trust security principles, and enterprise-scale platform engineering. What you'll be doing

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Managing and optimising Microsoft Azure environments including compute, storage, networking, and platform services
• Supporting Azure Landing Zones and cloud platform foundations
• Maintaining secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure
• Managing patching, lifecycle activities, operating system hardening, and platform governance
• Driving environment consistency through Infrastructure as Code and automation

Identity & Security

• Managing Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and Privileged Identity Management
• Supporting Zero Trust initiatives in collaboration with Cyber Security teams
• Maintaining secure access controls and governance standards

Data, AI & Modern Platforms

• Supporting Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and modern data platform infrastructure
• Assisting with AI and machine learning environments including Azure OpenAI services and GPU-based workloads
• Managing platform monitoring, performance, security, and cost optimisation
• Supporting storage lifecycle management and governance frameworks

HPC & Engineering Systems

• Operating Linux-based High Performance Computing environments
• Supporting engineering applications, licensing platforms, and compute resources
• Managing storage and performance requirements for engineering workloads
• Contributing to future HPC growth and capacity planning

Automation & Operational Excellence

• Automating infrastructure operations using Terraform, Python, PowerShell, and Bash
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Maintaining operational documentation, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures
• Driving continuous improvement across infrastructure and cloud services
