The Company

Elite Sports Academy is one of the leading sports providers in the Middle East, delivering programmes across football, swimming, basketball, gymnastics, holiday camps, and school activities throughout the UAE and KSA.

The Candidate:

We are looking for a full-time Basketball Manager to lead and deliver basketball sessions for children of all ability levels, aged 2.5 to 18 years.

Job Responsibilities

Programme Management

• Manage all basketball programmes, squads, camps, and events.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality coaching across all venues.
• Develop athlete progression pathways and support talent development.
• Plan and coordinate basketball camps, competitions, and special events.

Team Leadership

• Lead, support, and develop basketball coaches.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of coaching staff.
• Manage coach schedules and staffing requirements.
• Conduct regular coaching observations and performance reviews.

Business Growth

• Drive registrations, retention, and programme growth.
• Support trial sessions and conversion of new athletes.
• Work closely with Marketing and Customer Journey teams to increase participation.
• Identify opportunities to improve programme performance and revenue.

Customer Experience

• Build positive relationships with athletes and parents.
• Handle enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Ensure effective communication regarding programmes, events, and athlete progress.

Operations & Administration

• Monitor attendance, registrations, and programme performance.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are safe and well maintained.
• Follow company policies and health and safety procedures.

Job Requirements

• · Bachelor's Degree in Sports, Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field.
• · Minimum Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent).
• · Valid First Aid and Safeguarding Certification.
• · Enhanced CRB/DBS Check (or equivalent background screening).
• · Proven experience in sports programme management, coaching leadership, or the education sector.
• · Experience working with children and young athletes aged 3–16 years.
• · Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• · Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• · Ability to motivate and develop athletes in a safe and positive environment.
• · Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• · Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• · UAE Driving Licence is preferred.
