Health and Safety Officer

We are currently looking for a qualified, proactive, and detail-oriented Health & Safety Officer (HSE Officer) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards across warehouses, production facilities, project sites, exhibitions, events, and interior fit-out operations.

Job Purpose

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across all company operations, project sites, warehouses, and production facilities.
• Promote a strong safety culture by identifying risks, implementing preventive measures, conducting inspections, and ensuring safe working practices throughout all project phases.
• Support project teams in maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, client requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and standards across all projects and facilities.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and workplace assessments.
• Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and potential risks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety regulations, project requirements, and client safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain risk assessments, method statements, and safety documentation.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and employee safety awareness programs.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all sites and facilities.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and safety violations and prepare detailed reports.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
• Ensure all employees, subcontractors, and visitors comply with site safety requirements.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, evacuation drills, and first aid readiness.
• Maintain safety records, permits, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with HSE standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, warehouse teams, and production departments to ensure safe operations.
• Support venue safety requirements and HSE compliance for exhibitions and events.
• Conduct safety inductions for new employees and project personnel.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials and equipment.
• Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports for management.
• Assist in obtaining and maintaining required HSE certifications and approvals.
• Promote continuous improvement in safety performance and workplace culture.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification is preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in the UAE.
• Experience in exhibitions, events, interior fit-out, construction, manufacturing, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, risk management, and safety compliance requirements.
• Valid UAE Driving License is preferred.
