ASSISTANT MANAGER & BARISTA

The Assistant Manager & Barista is responsible for independently managing the daily operation of the location when the owner is not present. This is a hands-on leadership role covering barista duties, daily financials, customer feedback, staff concerns, FSMS records and overall service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage daily operations, including opening, closing, team supervision and shift handovers.
• Manage daily financials, including POS checks, cash-up, payment reconciliation and reporting discrepancies.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, escalating only serious or repeated issues to the owner.
• Monitor team performance, attendance, conduct and HR concerns, raising only relevant or serious matters to the owner.
• Prepare and serve speciality coffee, matcha, cold drinks and food items to brand standards.
• Ensure the team follows service, hygiene, fire, health and safety procedures at all times.
• Complete and monitor FSMS records, including cleaning, temperature checks, stock rotation and food safety documentation.
• Support stock control, supplier coordination, wastage monitoring and daily operational ordering.
• Maintain a positive team culture and ensure smooth communication between FOH, kitchen and management.

Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality, café operations or speciality coffee.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisor, senior barista or assistant manager role.
• Experience with POS systems, cash-up, complaint handling and team supervision.
• PIC Level 3 required or must be completed before starting / during onboarding.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary from AED 5,000 per month, depending on experience.
• Company employment visa and health insurance provided.
• Annual leave and other benefits as per UAE labour requirements.

Additional Requirements

• Must already be based in the UAE.
• Must be able to commute independently and organise own accommodation.
• Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Start date: September/October 2026.
