About Us
We are a Dubai-based proprietary trading and investment firm focused on quant strategies. Our team operates across multiple exchanges, banking relationships, and trading counterparties globally. We are seeking a highly organized and commercially minded Operations Manager to oversee the firm's finance, accounting, treasury, compliance support, administration, and people operations.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys building efficient processes, managing critical relationships, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of a fast-moving trading business.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounting
- Oversee all accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow forecasting.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Treasury & Banking
- Manage relationships with banks, brokers, payment providers, and financial institutions.
- Monitor company liquidity and optimize cash management.
- Oversee bank account administration, signatory management, and payment approvals.
- Coordinate KYC, AML, and compliance requests from banks and service providers.
- Manage foreign currency transactions and treasury requirements where applicable.
Compliance & Corporate Governance
- Ensure compliance with DMCC regulations and licensing requirements.
- Coordinate license renewals, establishment card renewals, and corporate filings.
- Maintain statutory records and corporate documentation.
- Liaise with legal advisors, company secretaries, and government authorities.
- Monitor changes in UAE regulations and assess their impact on the business.
- Ensure Corporate Tax compliance, including filing and reporting obligations.
Operations Management
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Manage office administration, vendor relationships, and procurement activities.
- Oversee operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
- Coordinate business continuity and operational risk management initiatives.
- Support technology, systems, and process improvement projects.
- Manage relationships with external service providers and consultants.
Human Resources & Administration
- Coordinate employee onboarding, visa processing, and HR administration.
- Maintain personnel records and employment documentation.
- Support recruitment activities and employee performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, finance, accounting, or business management roles.
- Experience within financial services, asset management, proprietary trading, hedge funds, or fintech is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience dealing with banks, payment providers, brokers, and auditors.
- Familiarity with UAE corporate and employment regulations.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and business reporting tools.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally or similar platforms is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with fund operations, treasury management, and financial controls.
- Experience working in a startup or entrepreneurial environment.
