Position - Land Surveyor – Microtunneling
Location - Dubai
Job Purpose
We are looking for Land Surveyor for microtunneling, pipeline, sewerage, stormwater, and utility infrastructure projects. The Land Surveyor is responsible for establishing accurate alignments, coordinates, levels, shafts, and tunnel reference points to ensure construction activities are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, and client requirements. The role requires extensive experience in microtunneling and underground utility works.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct topographic, control, and as-built surveys for microtunneling and utility infrastructure projects.
- Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, reference grids, and coordinate systems.
- Launching shafts and receiving shafts
- Microtunneling drives
- Sewer, stormwater, and utility pipelines
- Manholes and chambers
- Verify tunnel alignments, breakthrough coordinates, pipe invert levels, and shaft locations.
- Operate Total Station, GPS/GNSS, RTK equipment, Auto Level, and other surveying instruments.
- Monitor tunneling progress and ensure compliance with approved tolerances and alignment requirements.
- Prepare survey reports, field books, calculations, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and consultants regarding survey requirements.
- Review IFC drawings, alignment data, and project specifications before execution.
- Conduct leveling, traversing, and utility surveys as required.
- Ensure all surveying activities comply with project QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements.
- Maintain calibration records and proper maintenance of survey equipment.
- Support testing, commissioning, and project handover through final verification surveys.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional Surveyor certification is preferred.
- Valid UAE Driving License preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in microtunneling projects.
Experience in:
- Sewerage networks
- Stormwater drainage systems
- Water transmission pipelines
- Deep utility installations
- Shaft construction
- UAE/GCC project experience preferred.
- Experience working on RTA, Dubai Municipality, DEWA, or utility authority projects is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Total Station, GPS/GNSS, RTK, Auto Level, and Laser Level equipment.
- Strong knowledge of coordinate systems, benchmarks, traversing, and leveling.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and survey data processing software.
- Knowledge of UAE surveying standards and infrastructure construction practices.
Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
