Informatica Data Engineer - Arabic Speaker

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Informatica Data Engineer with 5+ years of expertise to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter, strong command of the Microsoft technology stack, and a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale data solutions in on-premise environments across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

This senior role requires an individual who can lead technical delivery, mentor team members, and engage confidently with business stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into robust, scalable integration pipelines. Familiarity with GCC-specific regulatory frameworks, Arabic/bilingual data handling, and the region's key industry verticals is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

ETL Development & Architecture:

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter in on-premise environments
• Architect end-to-end data integration workflows connecting SQL Server, Oracle, flat files, and other enterprise on-premise sources
• Develop and maintain mappings, worklets, workflows, reusable transformations, and session configurations to meet strict SLA and performance requirements
• Apply advanced PowerCenter techniques including pushdown optimization, partitioning strategies, and caching to maximize throughput

Microsoft Stack Integration:

• Build and maintain data warehouse solutions on Microsoft SQL Server using star and snowflake schema designs
• Develop and manage SSIS packages for data movement and transformation across enterprise systems
• Deliver reporting and analytical layers using SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI in alignment with business requirements
• Support hybrid integration scenarios connecting on-premise systems with Azure Data Factory where applicable

Data Quality & Governance:

• Implement data quality rules, profiling, and cleansing processes using Informatica IDQ
• Own metadata management, data lineage documentation, and technical data dictionaries aligned with enterprise standards
• Ensure compliance with GCC data residency and privacy regulations including UAE PDPL, Saudi PDPL, and Qatar Data Protection Law
• Enforce data governance policies across all pipeline development activities

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership:

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders across GCC entities (government, banking, energy, retail) to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Mentor junior and mid-level data engineers, conduct structured code reviews, and champion best practices
• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation for all integration solutions
• Contribute to solution design workshops, sprint planning, and stakeholder review sessions

Required Skills:

Informatica & ETL (Must-Have)

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter (Designer, Workflow Manager, Repository Manager, Monitor)
• Advanced performance tuning skills: pushdown optimization, session partitioning, caching, and pipeline parallelism
• Experience with Informatica IDQ for data profiling, cleansing, and quality rule management
• Knowledge of Informatica MDM (Master Data Management) is a strong advantage

Microsoft Technology Stack (Must-Have)

• Advanced T-SQL development: stored procedures, functions, indexing strategies, and query optimization
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for complex data movement and transformation
• Working knowledge of SSAS (Analysis Services) and SSRS (Reporting Services)
• Experience with Power BI for data visualization and self-service analytics layers
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory for hybrid on-premise-to-cloud integration scenarios
