Audio Visual (AV) Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Audio Visual (AV) Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of audio, video, lighting, and control systems for commercial, corporate, educational, and event environments.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and commission audio visual equipment, including displays, projectors, LED screens, sound systems, microphones, video conferencing systems, and control systems.

Perform cable pulling, termination, labeling, and equipment rack assembly.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV systems and network connectivity.

Conduct system testing and quality checks to ensure optimal performance.

Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients.

Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades.

Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system designs.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients during project execution.

Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards.

Prepare service reports and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements

Diploma or certification in Electronics, Information Technology, Audio Visual Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in AV installation, maintenance, or technical support.

Strong knowledge of audio systems, video distribution, video conferencing, LED displays, and control systems.

Experience with structured cabling and network fundamentals.

Ability to use testing and troubleshooting equipment.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Bosch, Shure, Yamaha, Cisco, Poly, or Microsoft Teams Rooms systems.

Knowledge of IP-based AV solutions and networking.

Experience in corporate, hospitality, educational, or government projects.
