We are looking for an experienced journalist and editor who wants to help build a respected global media brand from the ground up.

Employment Details

Position: Senior Journalist / Managing Editor
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

This is not a freelance, contributor, or remote-only role.

Candidates should already be based in the UAE or be willing to relocate to Dubai for a full-time office-based position.

The Opportunity

As Senior Journalist / Managing Editor, you will help shape the editorial voice of a fast-growing global robotics publication.

You will identify important stories, develop editorial angles, conduct interviews, write articles, coordinate with correspondents, and transform complex robotics developments into compelling journalism.

You do not need to be a robotics expert today.

However, you must be highly curious, intellectually ambitious, capable of learning quickly, and comfortable working in a rapidly evolving technology sector.

Your role is not simply to publish content.

Your role is to create journalism that attracts attention, generates industry conversations, encourages company responses, and helps establish the publication as a trusted voice within the robotics ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Editorial Leadership

• Identify significant developments across the global robotics industry
• Develop strong editorial concepts and story angles
• Write and edit news articles, interviews, reports, analysis pieces, and market coverage
• Maintain high editorial standards for accuracy, fairness, and clarity
• Ensure stories are relevant to industry professionals and decision-makers

Journalism & Reporting

• Research robotics companies, products, technologies, deployments, and market trends
• Conduct interviews with founders, executives, engineers, investors, and industry experts
• Request official statements and company responses
• Verify information and distinguish marketing claims from confirmed facts
• Build relationships with manufacturers, startups, and industry stakeholders

Editorial Formats

You will create content such as:

• Robot comparison reports
• Market analysis articles
• Manufacturer briefings
• Industry explainers
• Deployment case studies
• CEO and founder interviews
• Reality-check investigations
• Buyer intelligence reports
• Weekly industry question campaigns
• Technology trend analysis

Collaboration

Work closely with:

Research & Partnerships Team

• Use company data, market research, and industry contacts to strengthen editorial coverage
• Define information requirements for major stories

Global Correspondents

• Brief reporters attending events, factory visits, demonstrations, and conferences
• Develop structured interview questions and reporting objectives

Video & Social Media Team

• Convert major stories into video concepts
• Generate ideas for YouTube content, short-form videos, LinkedIn posts, and newsletters
• Support multimedia storytelling initiatives
