QA/QC Engineer (Quality Assurance And Quality Control) (Finishing & Interior Fit‑out)

With project finishing experience, tailored for a China State Construction Third Engineering Bureau’s High‑Rise Tower, Building / Luxury Hotel Project Construction in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and implement project QA/QC management systems and procedures.

Conduct and Manage on‑site inspections and quality checks for all finishing works (drywall, plastering, tiling, painting, ceiling, joinery, MEP finishing interfaces, etc.).

Review and approve material submittals, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and method statements related to finishing.

Coordinate with Subcontractors, Site engineers, and to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved shop drawings, and local authority codes (Dubai Municipality (Baldiya) / DEWA / Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) (24/7 Authority).

Witness and document all quality control inspections (pre‑pour, pre‑covering, handover inspections).

Reports to the Project Director while maintaining dedicated line of communication with the Quality Director on overall project quality related matters, and the Corporate Material Manager if exists, on all matters concerning civil works materials.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Architecture / Quality Management Engineering, Materials.M

Work Experience in Dubai / Abu Dhabi:

Minimum 10 years of QA/QC leadership experience in high‑rise building projects, with at least 5 years

Minimum 3 – 5 High Rise Buildings Project HANDOVER / Completion Experience in Dubai.

focused on finishing / interior fit‑out works (hotel, residential, or commercial towers).

Previous experience with a main contractor is a must.

Gulf / Middle East experience, especially Dubai, is highly preferred.

Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):

ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor

CSWIP / BGAS / AWS (not mandatory, but a plus)

Technical skills:

Strong knowledge of finishing materials, methods, and quality standards (ASTM, BS, or local Dubai standards).

Familiarity with Dubai Municipality (DM) or DCD regulations.

Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and method statements.

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and QA/QC reporting tools.

Soft skills

Excellent communication and coordination skills in English.

Detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of working under pressure in a fast‑track environment.

Raise and track NCRs (Non‑Conformance Reports), follow up corrective actions, and maintain QA/QC documentation.

Participate in monthly quality audits, snagging / de‑snagging processes, and final handover inspections.

Prepare daily/weekly QA/QC reports and punch lists for finishing packages.
