QA/QC Engineer – Landscaping ProjectsJob Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA/QC Engineer to ensure the highest quality standards across landscaping, irrigation, hardscape, softscape, swimming pool, water feature, and associated civil works projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems, monitoring project execution, and ensuring all works comply with approved specifications, industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Quality Control
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and quality control processes.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Ensure materials, workmanship, and installations meet established quality standards and approved submittals.
- Monitor ongoing construction activities and identify quality issues at an early stage.
- Initiate, track, and verify corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities.
- Ensure compliance with company Quality Management Systems (QMS) and project quality objectives.
Inspection & Testing
- Coordinate and conduct inspections for landscaping, irrigation, hardscape, softscape, swimming pool, water feature, and civil works activities.
- Verify material approvals, testing requirements, and compliance certificates before installation.
- Monitor field testing, commissioning activities, and performance verification processes.
- Ensure inspection requests and approvals are completed in accordance with project requirements and client procedures.
- Review and verify test reports, inspection records, and quality documentation.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, checklists, non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective action reports (CARs), method statements, and audit records.
- Prepare and submit periodic quality reports to management, consultants, and clients.
- Ensure all quality records are accurate, complete, and reflect current project status.
- Maintain document control and support project close-out documentation requirements.
Project Coordination & Quality Oversight
- Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and Supervisors to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with approved quality standards and procedures.
- Participate in site meetings and provide recommendations on quality-related matters.
- Support the resolution of technical and quality-related issues during project execution.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure approved materials and suppliers meet project quality requirements.
Audits, Training & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct internal quality audits and site quality assessments.
- Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project quality and operational efficiency.
- Conduct QA/QC awareness sessions and quality training programs for site personnel when required.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout project teams.
- Monitor lessons learned and recommend process improvements for future projects.
Client, Consultant & Regulatory Coordination
- Liaise with clients, consultants, testing agencies, and regulatory authorities on QA/QC matters.
- Attend inspections, audits, and quality review meetings with project stakeholders.
- Address quality concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution to maintain client satisfaction.
- Support consultant approvals, authority inspections, and project acceptance procedures.
