Estimation Engineer

Job Title: Estimation Engineer – Fire Fighting & Safety Systems

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimation Engineer to join our Fire Fighting & Safety team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project specifications and drawings, coordinating with suppliers and vendors, and supporting the tendering process for fire protection and life safety projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs related to fire fighting, fire alarm, and safety systems.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, material take-offs, and project budgets.
• Analyze project requirements and identify cost-effective solutions while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate pricing.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tender submissions.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, procurement, and project teams during the bidding process.
• Conduct site visits when required to assess project scope and gather necessary information.
• Maintain estimation records, pricing databases, and historical project data.
• Ensure all estimates are completed within the required timelines and company standards.
• Assist in post-tender clarifications and negotiations with clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in estimation within the Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, or Safety Systems industry.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, including sprinklers, hydrants, fire pumps, fire alarm systems, clean agent systems, and related safety solutions.
• Experience in reviewing technical drawings, BOQs, and tender documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and estimation software.
• Knowledge of NFPA, UAE Civil Defence, and other relevant fire safety standards is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• UAE experience in the fire protection and safety industry.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and approval processes.
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
