Civil Site Engineer (Engineering Consultant Experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer with 5–6 years of Engineering consultancy experience to oversee construction activities, ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications, coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, and maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and understand approved architectural, structural, infrastructure drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with approved designs, project specifications, and authority requirements.
• Supervise civil works including structural, finishing, external works, infrastructure, and other related activities.
• Ensure that construction works are executed in accordance with approved method statements, material submittals, inspection procedures, and project requirements.
• Review contractor’s shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection requests (IRs), and technical submissions.
• Inspect and verify workmanship, materials, and construction activities to ensure compliance with approved standards.
• Coordinate and attend project meetings including kick-off meetings, progress meetings, technical meetings, and site coordination meetings.
• Prepare and maintain detailed site inspection reports, progress reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and site records.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower, resources, and construction progress against approved project schedules.
• Identify delays, technical issues, and site constraints and coordinate with project teams for timely resolution.
• Review contractor’s construction program and provide comments to ensure alignment with project milestones.
• Monitor compliance with approved Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) procedures and coordinate with safety teams to maintain safe working conditions.
• Ensure contractor coordination with relevant authorities, utility providers, and third parties to avoid project delays.
• Review and verify testing, commissioning, and inspection procedures as per contract requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to implement Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and conduct quality audits.
• Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies, clashes, or site-related issues and coordinate with design teams for solutions.
• Provide technical support and recommendations for resolving construction challenges.
• Ensure all works comply with UAE building regulations, authority standards, and project specifications.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Attend client meetings and provide technical updates regarding project progress and site issues.

Tender & Quantity Support Responsibilities:

• Review project drawings and specifications to prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Assist in quantity take-off and cost estimation based on approved drawings and project requirements.
• Review contractor quotations and tender submissions for technical compliance.
• Prepare tender comparison reports and highlight discrepancies, exclusions, and variations.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and design teams for tender clarifications.
• Support tender evaluation and recommendation processes.
• Maintain proper records of BOQs, tender documents, site reports, and project correspondence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5–6 years of experience as a Civil Site Engineer in an Engineering Consultancy environment.
• Strong experience in site supervision, contractor coordination, and construction management.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction standards, authority regulations, and approval procedures.
