Auto Electrical Engineer - Workshop

A leading company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, specializing in the maintenance and operation of vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery.

We are a leading Foundation Engineering Contractor specializing in piling, diaphragm walls, ground improvement, and associated geotechnical works.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated professional for our UAE operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Heavy Construction & Earthmoving Equipment maintain and repair.

· Inspect heavy equipment regularly to identify mechanical issues before they lead to breakdowns or operational delays.

· Diagnose mechanical faults in equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, and dump trucks, and determine the appropriate repair method.

· Carry out repairs on engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and other key mechanical components.

· Perform routine maintenance based on operating hours, including oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and general servicing.

· Work closely with operators and supervisors to understand equipment issues and ensure machines are returned to service quickly.

· Use proper tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic problems.

· Ensure all repair and maintenance work is performed safely and in accordance with company procedures.

· Report major faults, recurring issues, or parts that require replacement to the supervisor or mechanical engineer.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts used for each piece of equipment.

· Keep the workshop and tools organized and ensure equipment is handled properly to prevent damage during maintenance.

· Any other task as requested by your direct supervisor/manager within your work scope.

Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and heavy equipment.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out workshop and field repair activities.
• Prepare basic maintenance reports.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Hands-on experience working directly with their hands in the inspection, diagnosis,

repair, and maintenance of vehicles, trucks, heavy equipment, and construction

machinery.

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).
• Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance

Experience: Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary maintenance teams, manage workshop operations, and coordinate with project stakeholders effectively.

Communication: Ability to understand and communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

Documentation: Proficient in preparing maintenance reports, equipment records, budgets, and technical documentation.

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS), Microsoft Office applications, and equipment planning tools.

Safety Orientation: Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards within construction and heavy equipment operations.

Salary: 7000 – 10000 AED/Month
