Vector Corrosion Middle East Division (VCME) is looking to hire additional Cathodic Protection Engineers and Technicians who are looking to accelerate their career growth by taking on more responsibility in an expanding and rewarding field. Positions will be based in Dubai, UAE and support our mission of extending the service life of existing and new concrete structures. Utilizing the most modern tools and techniques, our engineers and technicians perform on-site evaluations and develop solutions based on a sound understanding of the cause and extent of deterioration. Our experience and knowledge allows us to implement practical, cost-effective repair and rehabilitation solutions, even in the most severe environments.

Responsibilities

• Condition assessments/investigations
• Support in the design of cathodic protection systems, including calculations and drawings.
• Cathodic protection quality control testing
• Install and troubleshoot instrumentation, prepare test reports, conduct research activities, and generally support other Engineers and Project Managers as required.
• Implement non-destructive testing techniques such as ground penetrating radar, impact echo, corrosion potential and others.
• Collect field and data measurements and accurately prepare field notes and other documentation.
• Develop professional reports regarding work performed and conclusions that meet Vectors quality standards and Client’s expectations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in concrete CP installation and design works.
• Travel is an important aspect of Vectors work. Travel is to be expected between 60%-80% of the time within the UAE and the Middle East. Candidates should ideally hold a passport that enables flexibility of travel throughout the region.
• Certifications and experience in cathodic protection at levels NACE CP 2, 3 and 4 (or equivalent ICorr) are mandatory as is specific experience in CP to reinforced concrete structures.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil, Structural, Materials or Chemical Engineering.
• Ability to review and interpret drawings in English.
• Ability to write technical reports in English
• Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:
• Structural analysis of existing structures
• Condition assessment of reinforced concrete structures
• Concrete repair, materials, coatings technologies and techniques
• AutoCAD
• Non-Destructive testing of various structures
• Material testing and reporting
• Asset management and facilities maintenance

Pay: AED1,433.12 - AED7,780.94 per month
