MEP Procurement Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MEP Procurement Engineer with proven experience in High-Rise Building Projects to manage the procurement of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) materials, equipment, and subcontract packages. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, evaluating suppliers, and ensuring the timely procurement of all MEP-related requirements while maintaining quality standards, project schedules, and budget objectives.

Candidates must have demonstrated experience in MEP procurement for High-Rise Residential, Commercial, Mixed-Use, Hospitality, or Tower Projects. High-rise building project experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for MEP materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and procurement schedules to identify procurement requirements.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Prepare and issue RFQs (Request for Quotations) and conduct commercial and technical bid evaluations.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contract conditions with vendors.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure timely material delivery.
• Monitor procurement schedules and track material status to avoid project delays.
• Ensure procured materials comply with project specifications, approved submittals, and quality standards.
• Prepare comparative statements and procurement reports for management review.
• Maintain relationships with approved suppliers and identify alternative sourcing options when required.
• Coordinate logistics, shipping, customs clearance, and material delivery schedules.
• Support cost-saving initiatives through value engineering and strategic sourcing.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of MEP procurement experience in the construction industry.
• Mandatory experience in High-Rise Building Projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
• Experience procuring major MEP equipment, materials, and subcontract packages.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and commercial evaluation skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and procurement software.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with leading contractors or developers on high-rise projects.
• Knowledge of local construction market suppliers and manufacturers.
• Professional certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering are an advantage.

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
