Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, quantity take-offs, contract administration, valuation, cost control, and commercial support to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in accordance with contractual requirements.

The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with the Contracts Manager, Project Managers, Procurement Team, Site Engineers, and Finance Department to support the commercial and financial success of projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesCost Estimation & Quantity Take-Off

Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and tender analysis for construction projects.

Review project drawings and specifications to identify quantity and cost implications.

Support tendering and pre-construction activities with commercial inputs and pricing analysis.

Commercial & Contract Administration

Assist in administering contracts, subcontract agreements, and commercial documentation.

Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and subcontractor payment assessments.

Monitor project costs, variations, and budget performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Prepare variation orders, claims, extension of time (EOT) support documents, and final accounts.

Maintain proper records of measurements, valuations, variations, and contractual correspondence.

Project Cost Control

Track project expenditures and monitor budgets against actual progress.

Coordinate with Project Managers and Site Engineers to evaluate work progress and commercial impact.

Identify cost risks and recommend corrective actions to maintain project profitability.

Assist in cash flow forecasting and financial reporting for management review.

Procurement & Subcontract Coordination

Support Procurement Department with quantity verification, package evaluations, and subcontract comparisons.

Review supplier and subcontractor quotations for commercial compliance and cost effectiveness.

Assist in preparing subcontract packages and commercial evaluations.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare commercial reports including cost reports, valuation summaries, variation logs, and progress tracking reports.

Maintain organized project commercial documentation and records.

Participate in commercial meetings with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Compliance & Quality

Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company procedures, and UAE construction standards.

Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all commercial and financial information.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 4–8 years of experience in quantity surveying within the UAE construction industry.

Experience working with main contractors on building, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, contracts, cost control, and valuation processes.

Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and UAE construction practices is preferred.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, Microsoft Office, and quantity surveying software.

Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
